I’m Amanda—coach, adventure instigator, and firm believer that movement, exercise, and fitness is not optional. For over 25 years, I’ve been training, competing, coaching, and discovering that movement is the closest thing we have to a magic pill for life.
I’ve studied kinesiology at the University of Alberta, competed at high levels of CrossFit, and coached people from all walks of life—from athletes to parents, professionals, and total beginners trying to reclaim what their bodies were built to do. I’ve trained while homeschooling four kids, balancing life’s chaos, and learning that movement isn’t just something we “fit in”—it’s an anchor we build our lives around.
The Transforming Joy of Movement.
At Movement Mandate, I don’t throw generic workout plans at you. I start with a wholistic 360 assessment and build programs that make you stronger, faster, and more capable in the real world—whether that means keeping up with your kids, climbing the Rockies, or just moving without pain again.
Most importantly, I strive to impart a deep love for movement and a profound sense of awe at the incredible gift of the human body—its strength, beauty, resilience, and untapped potential.
I coach in my garage gym, outdoors, virtually, and anywhere movement can happen. Because exercise isn’t about four walls and a treadmill—it’s a playful and joyful adventure—an exploration of what our bodies are capable of and how they can move through the world. If I’m not coaching, you’ll often find me playing in the mountains with my family and friends. Usually that involves chasing them on my mountain bike or skis, taking turns climbing & belaying, and making sure the camp meals have at least some nutrition!
